Brief Introduction to Trading Systems: Overcoming Challenges and Unlocking Potential #2

The Primary Challenge

Building on from the first part, "Brief Introduction to Trading Systems: Overcoming Challenges and Unlocking Potential #1," we'll delve into the challenges of creating a trading bot with Interactive Brokers and the solutions to address these issues.

Creating a trading bot with Interactive Brokers presents a challenge, primarily because of the lack of built-in backtesting capabilities. To overcome this limitation, I'm using TradingView for backtesting purposes. However, integrating TradingView with Interactive Brokers for both back- and forward-testing requires a well-designed solution that seamlessly connects these platforms.

Addressing the limitations of Interactive Brokers and leveraging the strengths of TradingView enables the creation of a robust and efficient trading robot to optimize your trading strategies.

In this course, I will present a solution, showcased in a green box on the screen. This trading robot is designed to receive messages from TradingView and utilize the Interactive Brokers API to execute trades, providing an effective way to integrate both platforms and optimize your trading strategies.
